Procrastination

So I haven't done much to reach for my dream home.  Every time I set a day for my husband and I to go to the bank to at least find out where to start, if we can be pre-approved and what would we be pre-approved for it never happens. Family stuff has come up or he forgot and made plans or I am not in the mood.  Is this my sign that we aren't ready or that I am scared because I know it will be hard.

Where is that house fairy when you need her? Has anybody met this house fairy and how do I get a hold of her?

Where to start?

I have been thinking about where do I start my search.  I have looked on-line at houses but I know I need to get pre-approved first.  I was wondering what bank do I start at?  Do I start at a bank?  I know I could start at my bank but I am not sure if my husband and I should just go to our bank and talk to someone?  I feel so confused.......
