So I haven't done much to reach for my dream home. Every time I set a day for my husband and I to go to the bank to at least find out where to start, if we can be pre-approved and what would we be pre-approved for it never happens. Family stuff has come up or he forgot and made plans or I am not in the mood. Is this my sign that we aren't ready or that I am scared because I know it will be hard.
Where is that house fairy when you need her? Has anybody met this house fairy and how do I get a hold of her?
I don't think there will be any house fairy but there will be that good old gut feeling. The one that says "Now's the time". This is a major investment and a place you will be in together for years to come. You both have to be in the same frame of mind with the same goal... to purchase a house. If one feels pressured and goes along just to please the other it may cause other problems down the road. Have patience your time will come as a couple to take this step together.
